Blinds are a contemporary and versatile window accessory. Below we share with you ways to ensure that the blinds work for you.

Double blinds

Nicora introduces the concept of Double Blinds. Here, a sheer is the primary blind giving privacy during the day, but allowing the light in. At night, the second blind comes down to ensure complete privacy when lights are on inside.

Bamboo as lining

If the window gets a lot of sun, use a light coloured lining so as to avoid the fabric fading over time. At Nicora, we particularly recommend the use of plain bamboo as lining. The advantages of this are:

• Bamboo gives stiffness to the fabric and improves the folding of Roman blinds
• Keeps your window looking attractive from the outside
• Bamboo is a natural colour and hence minimizes fading.

Bay Windows/ Windows at right angles

Roman blinds work very well in bay windows or in corner windows as it conserves space and prevents the gathering of fabric.
